Brought my daughter who was visiting from Mesa, Arizona to this awesome jazz place and we had the time of our lives! The night was just what we needed to have a mother daughter share night on the town! Thanks to the owner, the bartender and the cook, plus the great music, and of course the marvelous crowd of everso friendly people we met throughout the evening we could not have had a better evening together! I will myself be sure and return as soon as I can for all of the great things mentioned above, as I feel comfy enough to go without my daughter and enjoy myself with the friendly people I met last night. Great place to hang out and listen to great music, and meet great people. Thanks everyone was like being with family only better!
Great small venue to occasionally hear some great talent. Casey Hensley is an unforgettable powerful blues and rock singer with a beautiful range typically third Friday of the month in 2023 is must hear. Both of her usual accompanying guitarists are great. However, especially enjoy when she is joined with extremely talented David Spitzfaden. Fun funky vibe and Love the Hear no evil speak. No evil. See no evil art currently being displayed.
This place really hums with jazz. Small but friendly hangout featuring some really great singers and musicians.
I received a text message in the afternoon about Dante Fire Trio playing that night so I changed my plans because I've seen this band play 3 times in the past. This was my first time at The Jazzy Wishbone and was so happy to discover such a great venue that I went again the following week to watch the Jam Session. Great time, good service, nice atmosphere with open windows and table seated on the sidewalk in front. My friend ordered the Homemade Peach Cobbler and told me it was delicious and The Best he's had! Owners are friendly too.
Caught @Anthony Cullins here and man, what a show! Food was great, I had a pesto pasta (no pine nuts) with shrimp and a super yummy cocktail The Lazy Susan...lemoncello, prosecco and raspberry puree. Be sure to check out the live music or comedy nights here!
What a great find right here in Oceanside! If you're looking for a local spot to enjoy LIVE JAZZ, this is the place to go! We were invited by friends for a Saturday night show and absolutely had a blast. The music was fantastic and the food offerings were delicious. Drink menu is limited but had nice choices. This venue is small and cozy so I would recommend you get there at least 30 minutes before show time to get your choice of seating. There is also seating at the bar and in the back lounging areas if you want conversation . The owners, Tim and his wife were amazing hosts and although short staffed they took care of our needs making our time truly enjoyable. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
A small but romantic spot to bring a date. Love the live music. Strong drinks but if you sit close to the band you can’t hear your partner talk. Sit on the back and get the best of both.
Amazing place! Local talent on display, if you are an aspiring musician or just an enthusiast, this place is a must see. The food is top notch, simple menue done right. I took my family here a while back, including my 7 year old, and had an amazing time! Had the pleasure of meeting the owners on that trip and so impressed with their overall effort to provide a space for local talent. Dude, and the food!
